Faith & Fear
The opposite of faith is not disbelief, the opposite of faith is fear.
Faith is the strength to look directly into the vast, nameless, unknowable void of uncertainty with love and vigilance. It is the power by which we assert our destiny on the blank pages of fate, despite not knowing how it might come to pass.
“The Tao that can be known is not the Eternal Tao.” -Tao Te Ching
Our relationship with the unknown, therefore, is our relationship with the Supreme Source (or God), and thereby how we align ourselves with our Divinity. Faith aligns, fear alienates.
More on that to come.
